Jeffrey D. Parker received his Bachelor
of Arts degree in Political Science from Baylor University
in Waco, Texas, in 1996. He then received his law
degree from Baylor Law School in May of 1999.
While at Baylor Law School, Mr. Parker
completed extensive studies in the area of trial law,
receiving special recognition upon graduation for his
additional work. His focused studies were in the areas
of criminal and constitutional law. Additional
concentration was in the areas of family, civil and
employment law.
After completing his studies and
passing the bar exam, Mr. Parker worked at one of the
largest law firms in Central Texas gaining extensive
experience. After a number of years in private
practice, Mr. Parker was granted an opportunity to work as a
prosecutor in Bell County, Texas. This
opportunity enabled Mr. Parker to gain hands-on experience
and insight regarding the intricacies of the criminal
justice system from the inside. As an example, Mr. Parker has
now served
as lead counsel in the defense or prosecution of over 4,000
criminal cases.
In January 2006, Mr. Parker opened his
own law office in Belton, Texas. He practices both
state and federal criminal trial and appellate work,
juvenile law, family law, and general civil litigation
(including employment discrimination, business disputes,
personal injury, and consumer protection).
Mr. Parker is a member of the State
Bar of Texas, the Bell County Bar Association, the Texas
Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Bar
Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit. He is also a
member of the Criminal Justice, Family Law, and Juvenile Law
sections of the State Bar of Texas.
Jeff Parker is licensed at the state
level, by the Supreme Court of Texas, and at the federal
level, by the United States District Court for the Western
District of Texas, and by the Fifth Circuit of the United
States Court of Appeals in New Orleans.
Jon McCoy is Mr. Parker's
assistant. He assists the firm by answering the
telephone, updating the calendar for Mr. Parker, handling
the billing paperwork, and other such administrative tasks.
We would encourage you to call Jon anytime that you have an
administrative question about your case. Of course, if
you have a substantive question concerning the facts or
strategy of your case, or any other legal questions about
your case, then as your attorney, Mr. Parker is the one that
would answer those types of questions. Jon cannot give
out legal advice, as he is not an attorney. However,
he will be more than happy to assist you with scheduling an
appointment to meet with Mr. Parker to discuss those types
of issues at a time that is convenient for you.
Evening and weekend appointments are available. |
